Reviewer for Sectoral Planning in Environmental Planning (EnP board).
The Development Sectors
| Sector | Covers |
|---|---|
| Social | Housing, health, education |
| Economic | Livelihood, industry, tourism |
| Infrastructure | Roads, utilities, facilities |
| Environment | Natural resources, hazards |
| Institutional | Governance, finance |
Integration
A comprehensive plan integrates all sectors. The land use plan spatially expresses the sectoral goals.
Memorize the sectors with "SEIIE": Social, Economic, Infrastructure, Institutional, Environment.
Disaster Risk Reduction
Modern plans mainstream Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction (CCA-DRR) into land use and zoning.
CLUP vs CDP
The CLUP is the long-term LAND USE plan; the CDP (Comprehensive Development Plan) is the multi-sectoral plan for the term of office. Do not confuse them.
Before your exam, make sure you can confidently explain and apply each of the following:
- The Development Sectors
- Integration
- Disaster Risk Reduction
- CLUP vs CDP
Re-read any section above where you hesitate, then explain it aloud in your own words โ if you can teach it simply, you understand it. Focus your final review on the tables, formulas, and the common-mistake warnings, since those are where most points are won or lost.
