The Atmosphere and Weather

The atmosphere has layers (troposphere, stratosphere, โ€ฆ). Weather is short-term; climate is the long-term average.

The Philippines has wet and dry seasons due to the monsoons (Habagat = southwest/wet, Amihan = northeast/cool-dry).
