The Atmosphere and Weather
The atmosphere has layers (troposphere, stratosphere, โฆ). Weather is short-term; climate is the long-term average.
Seasons in the Philippines
The Philippines has wet and dry seasons due to the monsoons (Habagat = southwest/wet, Amihan = northeast/cool-dry).
Habagat = humid/wet (Hanging rain). Amihan = cool dry winds from the northeast.
Eclipses
| Eclipse | Alignment |
|---|---|
| Solar | Moon between Sun and Earth |
| Lunar | Earth between Sun and Moon |
SOLAR eclipse = Sun blocked (Moon in the middle). Never look directly at a solar eclipse.
