Polynomial Functions
Graphs are smooth, continuous curves. The degree and leading coefficient determine end behavior and the maximum number of turning points.

The Circle
Center–radius form: (x − h)² + (y − k)² = r²
💡 Exam Hack
The center is (h, k) — note the SIGNS flip. (x−3)²+(y+2)²=25 has center (3, −2), radius 5.

Chords, Arcs, and Angles
A central angle equals its arc; an inscribed angle is half its intercepted arc.

Worked Example
A circle has center (2, −1) and radius 4. Write its equation.
(x − 2)² + (y + 1)² = 16
⚠️ Common Mistake
Watch the signs: center (2, −1) becomes (x−2) and (y+1).
